With a past life as a fashion buyer it wasn't until 2005, while completing her Commerce degree that Mary-Anne Pham decided to start her own label Piper Lane. Armed with a rare combination of business nous and creative flair, she identified a gap in the market for clothes that pushed boundaries whilst still achieving trend and fashion clout at accessible prices. The decision to abandon a career in finance and start her own label was made, and Piper Lane was born.

"Fashion has been a love of mine for as long as I can remember, as there's nothing more thrilling than a "perfect bite" outfit, or a killer pair of shoes, or a handbag that has to leave the store with you," says Mary-Anne.

Her first collection was extremely successful, selling through to like-minded retailers hungry for great fashion at affordable price points. She now boasts an enviable list of stockists across Australia, as well as a flagship store for Piper Lane at Castle Towers.

With a flair for colour, girly embellishment and flirty design, her dresses and separates have been a hit with retailers and women alike. Mary-Anne releases 6 collections a year, each tailored to seasonal needs and global trends to achieve a balance of hip and classic. Piper Lane is edgy, feminine and perfectly suited to wear from day to night.

"It's about making someone feel great, confident, beautiful, empowered and more of herself when wearing a Piper Lane piece. I hope that ethos permeates through every thread of our brand and clothing," says Mary-Anne. "My aim is to foster and cultivate an integrity behind the label that hopefully translates into the final product that arrives in the wardrobe of the Piper Lane girl."

The individuality of the garments can be seen in their finish.
