Since the opening of its historic boutique in Via Borgognona in Rome, where the creative brother-and-sister team, Anna and Salvatore Pianura, started off with a collection of ready-to-wear ladies clothing, the fruit of research and craftsmanship, the firm has gone from strength to strength and is now on the cutting edge of Italian made products.

Crimson S.r.l had been in business since 1980 and, over the years, has been so successful at making the most of materials that this approach has developed into a kind of trademark.

This Roman firm achieved a successful alchemy by combining craftsmanship and technological innovation and its success is built on a clear-cut stylistic identity that makes it instantly recognisable. The leitmotif of its evolution is careful attention to the process of developing the collections. This starts with planning concepts that anticipate fashion trends and market demand, goes on to combine the very newest fabrics, in close cooperation with the suppliers, and culminates with the design and making of the silk-screens in the firm's own workshops and drawing office.

The Pianurastudio brand was created in 2000 and brings the stylistic and business know-how developed by the Pianura family together in a single project.
