Mrs Press

Designer Clare Press began her career as a fashion journalist, writing for Harper's Bazaar and The Australian. She then spent five years as Australian Vogue's features director, while dreaming up designs for her Mrs. Press label.

Clare still writes: her column appears in InStyle magazine each month, she contributes to Harper's Bazaar and her book, The Dressing Table, is published by Penguin/Lantern.

In 2009 Clare had left Vogue to focus on growing her brand full time, developing her distinctive style signature with an eye on vintage silhouettes. She works with the very best fabrics and makers locally to create pieces that are as luxurious as they are elegant and refreshingly original.

The Mrs. Press flagship store, named one of Marie Claire's best boutiques in Australia, opened on Sydney's Oxford Street in July 2010, while the label is stocked by top boutiques nationally.
